Ho Chi Minh City: Dr. Songheang Ai, director of SEAMEO TED, participated the Asian Graduate Studies Summit held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, organized by Asia Pacific Consortium of Researcher and Educators (APCORE) for purposes (1) to share and learn the empirical studies and best practices on graduate studies in terms of research and innovation; (2) to enhance the cooperation and network among the APCORE members; and (3) to establish a rigorous community of practices on research and innovation.

Dr. Ai’s Explanation

During the summit, Dr. Ai, presented the topic on “University-Industry Linkages on Research and Innovation” to the participants showcasing applied and basic research that universities and industries traditionally undertook, different perception of universities and industries on research and innovation, benefits of the linkages between universities and industries, digital skills need from 2025 to 2030, and triple helix model for schools, industries, and government.

All Speakers Receiving Gifts

During attending the summit, Dr. Ai paid a form visit to SEAMEO CELLL and signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation between two centres. The discussion points of cooperation covered the capacity-building programs for TVET teachers, and school management on AI, digital skills competition for TVET students, research and innovation on AI and digital education, etc.
