Session I: TVET Development Strategies Post Pandemic

In Session I, four important topics were shared by four speakers from Cambodia, Indonesia and China including Topic (1) the Road to Vocational Education Revitalization in Post- pandemic Era – Take Guangxi Transport Vocational and Technical College as an example by LI WenyongTopic (2) Re-Imagining Learning on TVET in the Higher Education Post Pandemic by Dr. Ana, M.Pd, Indonesia; Topic (3) TVET Development Strategies during Covid-19 Era in Cambodia by H.E Thorng Samon, Cambodia; and Topic (4) Case Sharing on International Cooperation in Post-pandemic Era by Mr. PAN Keren, China. After session I ended, video of Covid-19 responses were displayed to gain attention of participants by hearing the concerns and hope of students and teachers from the region amidst the pandemic.

Session II: Best Practice Sharing

Topic 1 was Integrative Assessment:  Reframing of Assessment Practice in the New Normal was shared by (1) MA. VICTORIA MARDO-CUERVO: School Principal III and (2) LOUIE C. DUTERTE from Philippines. Topic 2 was Industry-Centric Skills Development Framework shared by (1) Ozbee Kee and (2) Steven Chan Peng Guan, experts and lecturers of Institute of Technical Education, Singapore .

The international Webinar was officially closed by the SEAMEO High Official for Cambodia, H.E. Dr. Dy Khamboly. He commented and highly acknowledged the importance of today’s Webinar and all topics presented by guest speakers, which are the lessons learnt and knowledge sharing for this mean time. He briefly highlighted the global challenges facing in education, social and economic development by the pandemic. He addressed the important role of technological innovation and collaboration ensuring education equitability and quality amidst the pandemic. Finally, he appreciated the initiatives and commitment of SEAMEO TED and its partners to make this important event happen.
