Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Technical Education Development (SEAMEO TED), Cambodia and Go Study, Global Education, China co-organized a virtual training course on “Logistics Knowledge Phase II”. The training was conducted at 09:00-11:00 am (Cambodian Local Time) on April 30, 2021 in the purpose of sharing knowledge and expertise of logistics by a Chinese expert to 118 participants, who are from seven different countries in the ASEAN region consisting of Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Lao PDR, Singapore and Timor-Leste.
The lecturer explained four ultimate contents comprising Express Delivery, Road Transport Safety Management, International Freight Forwarder, and Knowledge of Forklift. At the end, a lecturer assigned quizzes with multiple choice options for rating to evaluate the participants’ learning levels in order to certify their qualifications. Finally, the interaction and communication, as part of Q & A session, were encouraged in terms of answering participants’ questions, concerns or comments.
Amid the COVID 19 Pandemic, E-learning technology used to be a complementary learning tool but now it becomes compulsory to respond to the educational demand.
SEAMEO TED in collaboration with Bina Insani University (Indonesia) co-organized international training on Introduction to ISO 9001: 2015 virtually to vocational-technical teachers and university students from some SEAMEO Member Countries.
This training was conducted on 03, 10 and 17 April, 2021 virtually. Ir. Didi Hasan Putra, M.M, a senior expert in mechanical engineering was invited to give a lecture of this program. 16 participants from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Timor-Leste and Vietnam attended the training.
After the training, participants gain a more and broad understanding of the ISO application and how an institution can practice and prepare to get the ISO certificate for their institution.
The training’s main outlines are general introduction about ISO, System, Basic Knowledge about ISO, ISO and non-ISO organization/ company (discussion), PDCA concept, ISO document structure, and PDCA model, ISO Clauses, Clauses structure and ISO Audit (Application and Contract, . In addition, the lectured highlighted the concept of quality, the ISO seven quality Management Principles, EPC main business process and some important points.
