Online Training Course on The Application of Water Treatment Technology in China

SEAMEO TED, Go Study Global Education China and Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction co-organized an online training course on “the Applications of Water Treatment Technology in China” participated by 185 SEA participants on the first day, 119 SEA participants on the second day and 112 SEA participants on the last day of the course. The participants are from thirteen different countries consisting of Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar, Timor-Leste, Vietnam, Pakistan, Uganda, Germany, Afghanistan and Nigeria.

The course was held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM (GMT+8) every conservative day on April 25, 26 and 27 (live lectures) 2023 in the purpose of sharing knowledge and expertise of water treatment technology in China by Chinese experts named Mr. HUANG Yucheng (Senior Engineer), Mrs. YANG Wenting (Associate professor) and Mrs. DUAN Chunyi (Associate professor), who are the lecturers from Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction (GXPC).

In each session, the lecturers from Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction delivered three important topics including Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, and Sludge Treatment and Disposal. The course enables students to master the treatment process of various wastewater treatment methods, to be familiar with the use of wastewater treatment equipment, and to have strong practical skills on the application and development of water treatment technology. Finally, the interaction and communication, as part of Q & A session were encouraged in terms of answering participants’ questions, concerns or comments.

The course also provides participants with core knowledge of Environmental Engineering and Technology, a valuable E-certificate of participation.
