During the Global Smart Education Conference 2023 at Beijing Normal University from 18 to 20 August 2023, both representatives of SEAMEO TED and Beijing Normal University (BNU) have signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for TVET cooperation and development between China and ASEAN country members. The scope of cooperation underscores research and development, capacity-building programs, co-organizing conferences, workshops and study visits, project implementation, and exchange programs for mutual benefits. TVET schools including technical-vocational high schools and colleges will be benefited from the cooperation.
As a starting point, both parties agreed to make work plans and activities for implementation in the upcoming years. Both parties are also committed to transforming the cooperation to be productive with enhanced and closer cooperation between China and ASEAN member countries in terms of TVET development.
