China-ASEAN TVET Cooperation Forum

On the occasion of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, Dr. Songheang Ai, director of SEAMEO TED has delivered keynote speech on China-ASEAN TVET Development at China-ASEAN TVET Cooperation Forum on September 30, 2023 in Guiyang City. The forum was participated by stakeholders consisting of co-organizers, TVET teachers and school management from the 11 SEAMEO country members, industrial representatives, civil society representatives, and supervising ministry representatives as policy makers.
Dr. Ai’s presentation encompasses China-ASEAN cooperation achievements, best practices of Chinese TVET highlights, best practices of ASEAN TVET highlights, and TVET perspectives in general. He also underscored the importance of China-ASEAN TVET Cooperation Platform (CATECP) to bring closer friendship between China and ASEAN as the forum offers a variety of online/live training courses, webinars, testing, and certification for Chinses and ASEAN participants as students, teachers and practitioners.
The forum serves as a key catalyst in strengthening the close cooperation between TVET teachers, school management, relevant industries, civil societies, and TVET supervising ministries from China and ASEAN region. Networking and view exchanges were encouraged.
