SEAMEO TED organized its 2nd Governing Board Meeting on 24-25 October 2019 at Himawari Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This meeting gave opportunity expertise to discuss, evaluate, suggest, and provide constructive insights into the implementation of SEAMEO TED. Eight working papers of TED were presented by SEAMEO TED and GB members and representatives from 08 countries participating in the meeting including Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Timor Leste and Vietnam. This meeting was presided over by H.E Ton Sa IM, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Education. She shared perspective on the ministry’s significant reforms, the inclusiveness, and improvement of the technical Education quality in the digital stage and industrial development 4.0. A representative from the SEAMEO secretariat, Dr. Wahyudi, Deputy Director for Programme and Development, also shared on the SEAMEO 7 priority area and the regional partnership and collaboration, a commitment that the SEAMEO Secretariat given to education, science, and culture development of the region. Our guest speakers from SEAMEO TED partners including LABTECH International Ltd Royal University of Cambodia, National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC) also contributed to the meeting by presenting on the Best Practices and Outlooks for the 21st Century Skills Development, collaborative activities, TVET for Skills Development in Cambodia, and good cooperation.
