SEAMEO TED with other four Regional Centres in Indonesia (SEAQIL, SEAQiM, SEAMQiS and SEAMEO CECCEP) had a study visit and training
on Regional Education Management and Strategic Planning for SEAMEO Regional Centres Leaders in Yeungnam University of the Republic of Korea. This program aimed at providing participants from SEAMEO Centres a clear concept and in-depth understanding of regional education management, particularly Korean education policy, model, and practices, which is implacable for participants to gain basic techniques and knowledge in designing region education planning to meet the need of the region. This program gave the best opportunity for participants to learn the experience of Saemaul Education and community development and their work on International Cooperation Development. Participants could visit the Yeunma University, Early Childhood Centre, Future Classroom, and Saemaul Birth Place, which is very famous among the foreign learners who want to explore more knowledge and first experience about Saemual Udong in the 1960s, causing a dynamic change in Korean Rural Development within 20 years. It also the best opportunity for the 5 SEAMEO Centres to build a good network and make partnerships between SEAMEO Centers and relevant departments of Yeungnam University.
