Kampong Chhnang Province: Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Regional Centre for Technical Education Development (SEAMEO TED) of the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports organized a training course on ” Programable Logic Controller (PLC) Level 2″ at Preah Bat Samdach Preah Borom Neat Norodom Sihamoni General and Technical High School in Kampong Chhnang Province, participated by 40 electrical teachers from 11 General and Technical High Schools in Cambodia.
The training course was formed for the purpose of developing knowledge and expanding capabilities for electrical teachers in controlling electronic devices using PLC with computer software by technical teachers of General and Technical High Schools in Cambodia and strengthening the implementation of the electrical technical curriculum more effectively.

On such a good occasion, the Opening Ceremony of the training course was held under the chairmanship of H.E. Yok Nguy, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and highly esteem participated as the guest speaker by Dr. Songheang Ai, director of the SEAMEO TED, and Mr. Sim Brum, head of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports in Kampong Chhnang presented as a distinguished guest.
During the Opening Ceremony, the Secretary of State mentioned two policies of the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport focused on lifelong learning as part of developing abilities and to promote teachers to regularly develop the ability to be able to track the industrial revolution of the 4.0. He, Secretary of State, also addressed the importance of this training course, helping to strengthen teaching capabilities to technical teachers, especially, to teachers who are on the skills being taught.

Along with the evolution of technology and artificial intelligence development, the H.E. Secretary of State reminded all trainees to adhere to professional virtues and to be linked to a French proverb “Technology without conscience is like self-destruction” for the whole ceremony to consider. It’s good to learn theories and actual practices with tools and machinery to operate on-site which can help our trainees better understand.

Finally, he appreciated teachers and trainees striving to learn and care about this PLC course with the tutor’s experiences and lessons with valuable explanations to get that knowledge to share with students and other technical teachers at school after completing this training course.
